CAMS LECTURE SERIES 2016-2017: "Violence in the Ancient Mediterranean World"

Students, faculty, and interested members of the community are invited to attend the series of lectures on a series of topics that deal with aspects of community formation and identity in the ancient Mediterranean world.  The following lectures are scheduled.

*March 24, 2017 (Friday), 4:00 p.m. 102 Weaver Building - Prof. Jon Lendon (University of Virginia), title: "Not Enough Violence: Why the Plot to Kill Caesar Failed to Free the Roman Republic"

*April 21, 2017 (Friday), 4:00 p.m. 102 Weaver Building - Prof. Noel Lenski (Yale University), title: "Violence and Mercy on the Ancient Frontier"
